Terms of Service

The terms governing use of the Regulens website and, where no separate agreement applies, the Regulens platform.

Last updated

These terms govern your use of the Regulens website. Use of the Regulens platform is governed by the written agreement between Regulens Technologies Private Limited and your organisation; where that agreement conflicts with these terms, it prevails.

1. Acceptance

By accessing this website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

2. Regulatory content is information, not advice

This is the most important term on this page.

Regulens publishes regulatory information, analysis and derived obligations relating to Indian Central, state and municipal law. None of it is legal advice. It does not create an advocate-client relationship and it must not be relied upon as a substitute for advice from a qualified professional admitted in the relevant jurisdiction.

Regulatory content is derived from primary sources and cited accordingly. Where our content and the primary source differ, the primary source governs. You are responsible for reading the source and for the decisions you take.

We take reasonable care that content is accurate and current, but we do not warrant that it is complete, error-free or up to date at any moment, and Indian regulatory material — particularly at state level — changes constantly and is not always consolidated by the issuing authority.

3. Permitted use

You may view, download and print material from this website for your own internal business purposes. You may not:

  • Systematically extract, scrape or reproduce substantial parts of the site
  • Republish or redistribute our content commercially without written permission
  • Use the site in a way that impairs it for others
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system or data
  • Use the content to train a machine learning model without our written permission

4. Intellectual property

The site and its content — including the obligation decomposition methodology, taxonomy and derived obligation statements — are owned by Regulens Technologies Private Limited or our licensors and protected under the Copyright Act, 1957 and other applicable intellectual property law. Primary regulatory source text remains subject to the rights of its publisher, where any subsist.

5. Your submissions

If you send us feedback, suggestions or ideas, you grant us a non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free licence to use them without obligation to you. Do not send us anything confidential through a public form.

We link to primary regulatory sources and other third-party sites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or availability. A link is not an endorsement.

7. Availability

We aim to keep the website available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the site without notice. Platform availability commitments, where they exist, are in your written agreement.

8. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under Indian law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.

Subject to that, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business, or loss arising from reliance on regulatory content in breach of clause 2. Our total liability arising from your use of this website is limited to ₹10,000.

Liability under a platform agreement is governed by that agreement, not by this clause.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. The current version is always the one published here with the date shown below. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any arbitration clause in a separate written agreement.
